I am William McKinley, 25th president of the United States of America.
I was sworn in as president on March 4, 1897, as my wife and mother looked on. I gave a lengthy inaugural address; I urged tariff reform, and stated that the currency issue would have to await tariff legislation. I warned against foreign interventions, “We want no wars of conquest. We must avoid the temptation of territorial aggression."
After enlisting into the United States Union army during the civil war, I studied law in Canton, Ohio. When I was 34, I had a seat in Congress, where I sided with the common good rather than private interests. When I took presidential office, I proposed the highest tariff in American history after the depression of 1893. While I was in office, a war for independence of Cuba began. After 100 days, the U.S. had victory over the Spanish.

19th century vs. Today
There are a wide range of skills that provide opportunities for information technology. The skill sets necessary to have a career in this industry is based on three types of positions: development, support and analysis. Combine these skills together to take advantage of an entire range of new positions that are in high demand.
All information technology careers require a similar set of basic skills. A solid understanding mathematical concepts and a high degree of skill in data manipulation and multiple step logic is required. Communication skills and the ability to understand a wide range of perspectives is critical. Detail orientation and mental focus are necessary skills.
Development positions include programmers, system developers and computer configuration staff. A degree in math, computer science, or computer engineering is a basic requirement. Additional certification in specific programming languages and techniques are required to maintain information technology employment. New programming languages are continually being developed.
Support staffs in information technology are generally divided into two roles: user support and hardware support. User support includes assisting with computer software purchase, installation and training. Degrees or diplomas in technology, adult education or computers are all helpful for these roles. Employment as support staff often includes training, writing documentation, working on a help desk and troubleshooting. Communication and people skills are the most important tools required for this type of position.
Industrial jobs in the late 1800's did not often require any education and little training. Now a days in the 21st century there is no way of getting a technology job without having a college degree. There are problems/success with the system used in the 1800's. The success is that anyone could get a job in industry and make money without having to pay for school. However not everyone was qualified to work the job they got and they were not always very good at it. In the 21st century people are very qualified for there jobs because they must have a college degree and training. Things have gotten better now because everyone earns there job however, if you can't go to college than you have very little to no chance of getting a job in technology.
